The Turtle

The kids found a turtle today. They brought it home in a box,
named it, and quickly established a habitat for it to live in.
We even bought it "turtle food" at Walmart. However, when
John got home he pointed out that the turtle was malformed and was missing at least one eye and possibly half of its mouth. Thus, we feel it's best for it to live back at the pond! John pointed
out that a plastic box might be scary to it, especially if it's blind.
It's really ok to laugh at this point. Angela was over today and witnessed the grand adventure of
many children huddling around a turtle. Don't worry, for all of you who know that turtles can
carry salmonilia- they all have to wash their hands repeatedly.

The Lord is so good! I have a silent prayer request about Anna- just pray God will grow her into
the godly young lady that she is supposed to be. John is having a long talk with her and I just pray that God works on her heart. As parents we want our children to always do their absolute best and it's hard, horribly painful when they dissappoint us. Hmmmm... I'm imagining what God must feel like and how his heart aches when I choose to veer away. Pray we have the right amount of grace and mercy... I'm really just lost for what to do. That's where John comes in as such a wonderful leader of our family- he is VERY wise!!!
